The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library offers so much more then your typical “check out a book” library from yesteryear. They have special programs such as Just for Kids, Teen Scene, The Arts and a wide range of reference and databases. You can even visit their electronic library to look about other areas of service and interest. From the Holiday Inn Indianapolis- Carmel start out going east on Pennsylvania Pky toward N College Ave, turn right onto N College Ave, take the 1st right onto E 96th St, turn left onto N Meridian St, turn left onto E St Clair St.

The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library provides materials, programs and services in support of the lifelong learning, recreational and economic interests of all Marion County citizens. Serving residents since 1873, the Public Library system currently consists of 22 branches throughout Marion County, the Central Library downtown, and bookmobile services. IMCPL’s collection of over 2.1 million items includes a variety of formats: books, books on tape, magazines, large print materials, audiocassettes, videocassettes, compact discs and DVD’s. Foreign language materials are an integral part of the Library’s collection. Items may be checked out by patrons with a library card, which may be obtained free of charge at any Library location.
